Several events related to green initiative has been conducted. On the Environment day, just during onset of monsoon, about 160 tree samplings were planted across the entire Ganesh Mandir Ward.

The environment day event was held in Brindavan BDA Park in Banashankari 2nd Stage. The aim was educate the citizens on Organic Terrace Garden, Home Waste Segregation & Composting, Organic Food Products, Eco Products and also to stress the importance of enhancing the green cover of the ward and the role they can play in environmental care.
Sri Umesh Kabbal spoke on this occasion and offered to plant a tree free of cost in front of house of any Ganesh Mandir Ward resident who makes a call or sends a message to him requesting for the same. He urged everyone to take benefit of this on world environment day. Large number of tree saplings showed across the ward in various places since this event occurred.
Sri Umesh Kabbal also mentioned that several new park borewells are being dug to help provide additional water for the green cover.
